officers will host in October and Gayle Blek will host in July. Pam
Mayne volunteered to be the new Host mentor with thanks to Sandy Brown who has done this for many
years.
Please
remember to send rally reviews to Barb to put on our website and send on to RVW for the
magazine.
A
liability waiver was discussed briefly and left out for rally participants to sign.
Shirley
Mahan has created and copied Chapter business cards and handed these out for our use.
Due to
some cancellations, we have pre-paid dinners that won’t be used and are free to anyone who hasn’t paid for
dinner tomorrow evening.

Minutes 2008 Fall Meeting
Held in Sutherlin
October 4, 2008
Dee Hamer, President, presiding
Dee Hamer opened the business meeting at 10 AM.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Shirley Mahan presented the 2008 treasurer report. The account balance as of 9/30/2008 was $2174.64. Total membership as of 9/30/2008 is 108.
OLD BUSINESS
Dee expressed her appreciation for members who served as rally hosts or committee chairman during her two
year tenure: Peggy Hibner, Dottie Allen, Diane Benton, Candy Wood, Char Norby, Sandy Brown, Masanee Brown,
Danna Walker, Marilyn Nichols, Ruby Rhodes, Barb Pace, Tamara Swerdlik, Pat Cole, Alice Lovell, Jackie
Gettman, Peg Ralston, Nancy Rockwell, Carrie Hammons, Cynthia Moore, Shirley Mahan, Gina Masciantonio, Linda
Waterman, Tully Strong, Dixie Evers, Joyce Pickens, and Becky Beckey.
Dee emphasized the importance of registration/canceling procedures so rally hosts can
accurately plan for the correct number of participants. The
key is informing the secretary by e-mail or phone of reservations directly with the park, last minute
reservations, cancellations, and plans to attend activities but not be staying at the park. The secretary can then keep the hosts updated.
Availability of chapter brochures was announced with a request to make careful use of
them as they cost a dollar apiece.
Shirley brought up the need for member feedback
regarding the budget for rally breakfasts. Most rally hosts
exceeded the $50 reimbursement provided by the Chapter, but there was also a lot of food leftover after the
rallies.
