2012 Rally Details (Revised as of 2/10/2012)

Please note: When making your own reservations, please let the secretary and treasurer know (via email) that you have made a reservation so we will have an accurate participation list.

Several due dates for sending deposits to the Treasurer are the same. This is because some parks want a commitment 60 days ahead. It will be much easier to keep things straight if you will send separate checks for each rally. Note on the check which rally it is. Make all checks payable to ORVW.

March 16-18 Devils’ Lake RV Park 4041 NE West Devils Lake Rd, Lincoln City, OR 97367 (541) 994-3400 

Members need to send a deposit of $35.80 by February 7th. Cancellations must be made 48 hrs. before check in. They are running a winter special through April 30th – Pay for 2 nights and get the 3rd night free so when you check in, be sure to ask for that special.

Members need to call the park to reserve a spot by April 1st. Rates vary between $25 and $36 depending on amenities. Good Sam Discount. They also will honor CCUSA memberships (half price) for the weekend. Cancellation fee: once reservations have been made - $5.00 per night.

Members need to send a deposit of $33.71 by March 25th. You will need to pay the balance at check in by cash or check – no credit cards. Cancellation deadline: April 27th (two weeks before rally) – no exceptions.

Members need to call and make their own reservations ASAP. The park is busy that weekend because of the Chainsaw Festival in Reedsport and any remaining spots will go quickly. Price depends on the site and ranges from $35 - $42 subject to change without notice. Cancellation policy with 7 or more days notice - $20 fee and remainder becomes a credit good for one year.

This is our first trial mid week rally as voted on by the membership. Send your first night deposit by June 7th. Daily rate is $41.80 (summer rates at the coast). Cancellation – 72 hours. The meeting room is on the 2nd floor of the office. (Sorry – no elevator) We may have to share if there is another group there, but they don’t anticipate that. They are holding one handicapped space for us. If you need that, let June know when you send your check – you must have a handicap parking sticker. If you’d like to be near the office, let her know that too. Amenities include an indoor, heated pool and spa.

Go to the website: http://prospectrvpark.com/ and click the link to make your reservation. Put in the Notes section that you are with Oregon RVing Women. Deadline June 17th but he would appreciate your making reservations ASAP. u The club is sending a deposit to hold the sites so you won’t have to give credit card info until arrival. However, if you incur cancellation fees and he takes it out of the deposit, you will owe that money back to the club.Rates are $32.00 a night. He will have a marshmallow & hotdog roast for us Friday night at the big campfire. Cancellation fees: $10 up to July 18th, $25 up to August 10th, no refund after that. There is no club house, but there is a fire circle and chuck wagon that we may use plus many picnic tables. This is the weekend of the Prospect Jamboree Lumberjack Festival complete with parade. Please note: TV reception is limited to Direct TV (if you have your receiver you can hook up to their cable) or Satellite TV. Indicate on the notes section of the reservation if you would like a "Clear View Site".  There's some great Rogue river fishing here.

June has a list of the sites we have reserved. Call her (541) 888-9634 to get a site number first and then call the park. Call to reserve your spot with a credit card by August 15th. Rates are currently $33.33 a night and may go up. We won’t have prices until after May 1st. They ask for cash or check at check in– no credit cards. 48 hr cancellation policy. If you don’t call to cancel, your card will be charged for one night. We will have the yurt for our clubhouse. This should be the weekend of the Bay Area Fun Festival so there will be lots going on in Coos Bay.

October 19-22 Hood River County Fairgrounds – Odell, OR 541-354-2865 

Located 8 miles SW of Hood River: take I-84 east to Exit 64 and continue south on Highway 35. Turn west at the Odell Junction and follow the signs to the fairgrounds. No reservations - it is first come first served.They are trying to hold 20 spots for us. $15.00 per night for power and water with a dump site available. There is no clubhouse, but there will be a covered area, hopefully indoors but perhaps not, for meals and get-togethers. This is the weekend of the Gorge Fruit and Craft Fair. Members who attended this several years ago said it was a great time.  The train to Parkdale is a must.
